Google Music/"Google Audio"
Looks like Google will soon be dipping into the online music game. Rumored to be named "Google Audio," Techcrunch reports that multiple sources have confirmed that Google has spent several weeks securing content from the major music labels for the launch. The new service is a supposed partnership between Google, Lala, Myspace, and iLike. The screenshot featured below is a speculated idea on how the service would look.
It's going to be interesting to see how all of this pans out...I would never want to compete with the Google goliath!

Battle Between Google & Microsoft for College Emails
After three years of complaining about lost emails and full inboxes with Lion Mail, Loyola Marymount University finally switched our college emails over to Gmail. Little did I know there was an email battle in process between Google and Microsoft. Both two companies find interest in colleges and universities that outsource their emails for their students. Google's CEO has officially left his seat on Apple's Board of Directors... After almost 3 years, it's apparent that the gig has many potential conflicts of interest (i.e. iPhone vs Android) so this really isn't a surprise. Click here for details on Techcrunch.

David Geffen eyes New York Times
Previously interested in buying the Los Angeles Times for 2 billion in 2006, David Geffen has now made an offer to buy a 19% stake in the New York Times. According to thewrap.com Google has also shown interest. Too bad the troubled newspaper is not for sale and no agreements have been made..
